About local anesthesia

Some operations can be done in local anesthesia. Local Anaesthesia numbs a small (localised) area of tissue where a minor procedure is done. In all minor surgery cases,  local anaesthesia is given in conjunction with some sedation, so that you feel calm and not anxious.

Planning of your operation

We want to see you the day before your operation in Ghent at our consulation clinic. There we make some preoperative pictures, fill out the administrative forms and we can talk one more time through all the planned procedures.

After your operation you can recover a little bit and after about an hour you are ready to leave the hospital.

We plan a check-up the day after the surgery. After that your are ready to return to your home country.
