Friday before your operation around 12h00
The Friday before your operation around 12h00 your will have your preoperative consult. This takes place at the Medical Center Coupure. Please note that this consultation is medico-legally obliged. You can talk one more time about the procedures, preoperative pictures are taken, some administrative documents have to be filled in and you will receive your postoperative medication and icepacks.
Monday—operation day
Operation takes place at EMC2 hospital. You have an overnight stay in the hospital. Your partner can sleep in the same room, in a separate bed. The hospital charges 80 euro extra for this (to be paid in the hospital itself).
Tuesday, day 1 after operation
Dischargefrom the hospital around 11h00 by Dr Bart van de Ven.
Friday, day 4 after operation
Control with Dr Bart van de Ven at the Coupure Centre.
Tuesday around 12h00, day 8 after operation
Final check-up with Dr Bart van de Ven at the Coupure Centre. Pictures for the medical record are taken. You’re ready to return home. Most stitches are self-dissolvable.
After 4 months
We would like to see you back for control after 4 months in Ghent, or any other cities we do consultations. If necessary we could then do some more lipofilling in local anesthesia.
